Dr. Arden showed him fabricated videos of Elena signing the trust waiver and marrying another man after his death.
David stopped believing the videos when one showed Mia at age nine.
She was only seven.
Conrad’s editors had used the wrong future-age simulation.

“What did you sign?” Margaret asked.

“At the time, I believed Henry was dead.”
Charles told her the child had died after Margaret took him.
In grief, Evelyn signed a settlement and left the country.
Years later, David proved Henry had survived and become Elena’s father.

“No.”

“You found David.”
“Too late.”

The grandson who stole the trash bag had not been protecting evidence.
He had been removing records that favored Elena.
