Lily had seen Laura during a secret meeting with Sophie.

“What is he driving?”
“An ambulance.”
“Destination?”
“The pharmacy.”
Rachel looked at the prescription.
The store where Sophie had tried to collect Leo’s antibiotics was attached to a closed medical office.
Beneath it was an underground loading bay.
The pharmacy had been part of the transport network.
Police rushed to the location.
The lower level was empty except for an ambulance and a child’s red shoe.
