Chapter 4 - the account bearing naomi’s name

The transfer was stopped eight minutes before completion.

Adrian ordered every foundation account frozen except those required for verified medical and housing grants. He then surrendered his own financial authority to the independent audit committee until the source of the fraud could be determined.

Rose laughed when she heard.

“You’re allowing a servant’s accusation to paralyze your foundation.”

“No,” Adrian said. “A transfer using her identity did that.”

Rose claimed she had never heard of Roselyn Consulting.

The corporate registration told another story.

The company had been created four months earlier using a mailbox in Manhattan. Rose was not listed openly, but the recovery email belonged to her personal assistant.

The assistant had left the mansion suddenly two weeks before Naomi was hired.

No one could reach her.

The investigators discovered that Rose’s household tablet had accessed the company account repeatedly. Payments labeled employee relocation assistance entered Roselyn Consulting, then moved toward luxury retailers, travel accounts, and a private investment portfolio.

The scheme depended on the constant departure of household staff.

Each resignation created a believable reason for a large foundation payment.

The foundation publicly supported domestic workers leaving unsafe employment. Rose used that program to claim that dismissed maids required emergency housing, legal assistance, and relocation.

The women received nothing.

Rose created false files in their names and diverted the money.

Naomi’s personnel record had already been used to prepare the next request.

Adrian examined the application.

It claimed Naomi feared retaliation from an abusive employer and needed four hundred thousand dollars to relocate with two dependent children.

Naomi had no children.

Her signature was forged.

The employer accused of abuse was listed as Adrian Bellamy.

Rose had built protection in both directions.

If the transfer remained hidden, she kept the money.

If it was discovered, the application portrayed Adrian as an abuser and Naomi as his victim.

“You selected her for this,” Adrian said.

Rose stood across the study while officers searched her tablet.

“I did not select household applicants.”

“The staffing agency sent her profile directly to you.”

“I approve every person who enters my home.”

“Why Naomi?”

Rose looked at her without answering.

Naomi understood before Adrian did.

“My bookkeeping experience.”

Adrian turned.

“You worked in accounting?”

“For six years at a hotel group. The company closed two locations, and I took temporary domestic work while searching for another position.”

Rose knew Naomi would understand invoices.

She also knew that experience made Naomi a believable person to blame if financial records were discovered.

A former bookkeeper stealing from a billionaire’s foundation sounded plausible.

Naomi had not accidentally entered the mansion.

Rose had chosen someone whose résumé could become evidence.

The police seized Rose’s devices but did not arrest her that night. The financial case required formal warrants and authentication.

She packed a suitcase and announced she would stay at a hotel.

Adrian told security she could not remove documents, electronics, or jewelry until the inventory was complete.

Rose stared at him.

“You are imprisoning me in my own home.”

“This is not your prison.”

“No. It is your kingdom. And the maid has convinced you she deserves the throne.”

Naomi shook her head.

“I don’t want anything that belongs to you.”

Rose smiled coldly.

“You already took his attention.”

Adrian stepped between them.

“This is not about jealousy.”

“It is always about jealousy when a husband suddenly sees another woman.”

Naomi looked at him.

“Do not defend me by turning this into a personal rivalry.”

Adrian stopped.

She continued.

“I am your employee. She abused employees and stole from a foundation. Keep the facts clean.”

For the first time that evening, Adrian looked embarrassed.

Naomi was right.

Rose wanted the story to become romantic, emotional, and indecent because fraud was harder to escape.

The facts remained simple.

Eleven employees.

Eleven identical accusations.

Millions in false assistance.

One shell company.

Rose left the mansion under supervision after midnight.

Before entering the car, she turned toward Naomi.

“You think the truth protects people like you?”

Naomi replied, “No. Evidence does.”

The following morning, the edited video appeared online.

It began with Naomi standing.

It showed only the kick.

By noon, millions of people had seen a maid knock a billionaire’s wife to the floor.

👉 Rose had lost control inside the mansion, so she transformed Naomi into a public attacker before the complete evidence could speak.
