Olivia had discovered that Robert used Tyler’s name on company accounts. She threatened to tell Arthur’s former attorney.
Tyler panicked.
He met Robert inside the boathouse and begged him to “make her stop.”
Robert asked:
“Permanently?”
Tyler remembered saying no.
The recovered recording told a different story.
His voice came through the speaker:
“I don’t care what you do. Just get her out of this family.”
Then Robert replied:
“I’ll handle it.”
Tyler stared at the audio waveform.
“I didn’t say that.”
Voice analysis found the recording contained two edits.
The first half of Tyler’s sentence came from the boathouse argument.
The second came from a later conversation about Emma Ross.
Robert had combined them.
Yet the manipulation did not erase the fact that Tyler had repeatedly helped intimidate Olivia.
He had pushed her at the dock.
Blocked her bedroom door.
Taken her phone.
Threatened to call Harrow whenever she resisted medication.
“You don’t need to be innocent to tell the truth now,” Detective Brooks said.
Tyler looked toward Olivia’s hospital room.
“That’s what she’ll think.”
“She may never forgive you.”
“I know.”
“Tell the truth anyway.”
Tyler gave investigators access to a gaming account Robert did not know existed.
For years, Tyler uploaded clips of family arguments to private cloud storage because he feared Robert would someday blame him for everything.
One clip showed Jennifer ordering him to restrain Olivia after the fifteenth-birthday incident.
Another showed Robert instructing Tyler to loosen the staircase bracket.
Tyler refused.
Robert did it himself.
The final clip came from the night before the lake-house fall.
Robert said:
“Tomorrow she finds the trust email. You confront her upstairs. You push once. Not enough to kill her.”
Tyler whispered:
“What if she gets hurt?”
“That is the point.”
The video established planning.
But another figure appeared reflected in the window behind Robert.
Dr. Harrow.
Alive.
He had been inside the lake house during the dinner.
Caroline remembered seeing an unfamiliar black coat in the mudroom but never asked who owned it.
Police searched the property again.
A narrow passage behind the wine cellar led to a hidden medical room.
Inside stood an examination table, restraints, sedatives, portable imaging equipment, and a second MRI tablet.
Olivia’s scans had been uploaded there automatically.
Harrow never needed to enter the hospital for the images.
The stolen network device sent them directly.
On the tablet, Harrow had marked the fresh injury with one sentence:
Functional loss acceptable. Proceed with capacity certification.
He knew Olivia might lose movement.
He considered it useful.
The hidden room also contained a live camera feed from Caroline’s apartment.
She stared at herself on the screen.
Robert had monitored her for years.
Then the camera image changed.
Her front door opened.
A man stepped inside holding a medical bag.
Harrow.
Caroline was still at the courthouse.

Or should have been.
