Dominic swallowed.
“I thought it was best to resolve things quickly.”
Audrey spoke before her attorney could stop her.
“No.”
“You thought I was too weak to say no.”
The judge looked at the screen.
Audrey held the twins closer.
Her face was pale, but her voice was clear.
“I was weak.”
“But I was not alone.”
The judge granted temporary full custody protections.
Dominic was barred from the hospital.
All financial transfers remained frozen.
A forensic accountant was appointed.
Natalie was named in the review.
Dominic’s face collapsed piece by piece.
Walter gently rocked Grace.
Then whispered to Audrey, “Well done.”
