“They will claim something regardless.”
“Then let them claim I wanted the inheritance.”

Independent agencies received warrants for Victor, Adrian, Voss, Dr. Rowan, and eleven investors.

Evelyn’s original acquisition appeared among the protected cases rather than the criminal ones.
She could have manipulated the classification.
Forensics showed she did not.
Henry had classified it years earlier after reviewing evidence of abuse.

The founder console then displayed a live location.

The mansion remained under police control.

A camera showed him walking across the ballroom where the gala screens had gone black.
He carried a leather case and Lena’s missing silver shoe.
Marcus activated the mansion intercom.
“Stop where you are.”
Victor smiled toward the camera.
“You opened the verified files. Good.”
“You are surrounded.”
“I came to surrender the original Winter Ledger.”
“Why?”
“Because Henry is awake.”
Lena’s hospital door opened.
A nurse entered.
“Your father is asking for you.”
Henry had regained full consciousness.
When Lena reached his secured room, he refused to speak until every recording device was turned on.
“Victor did not create Northgate alone,” Henry said.
“I know.”
“He did not order Adrian to attack you outside the gala.”
“Adrian chose that.”
“Yes.”
“Who ordered my death certificate?”
Henry looked toward Evelyn.
Then Marcus.
Finally, he looked at Lena.
“I did.”
The room became silent.
Henry claimed he created the false certificate and river scenario as part of a controlled trap intended to force Adrian and Victor into revealing the network.
He expected federal agents to intervene before Lena left the ballroom.
He did not know Adrian would discover the trap and turn it into a real assault.
“You used my death as bait,” Lena whispered.
“I used the document.”
“You used me.”
Henry closed his eyes.
“Yes.”
Victor had returned because Henry’s admission could destroy every case based on the gala operation.
