Not through every speaker.
Not repeatedly.
Jurors saw the hospital room, the syringe and the IV port. Later testimony used transcripts and still images so Natalie’s immobilized body would not become courtroom entertainment.
Adrian testified against his attorneys’ advice.
He admitted vendor theft.
The affair with Celeste.
The Swiss agreement.
The relationship with Natalia.
The offshore servers.
He denied intending to kill Natalie.
“I intended to trigger Glass Fortress,” he said.
“With potassium chloride?” the prosecutor asked.
“I believed the syringe was part of Martin’s trap.”
“Why hide it in your jacket?”
“I was instructed to.”
“Why lock the hospital door?”
“To make the scene convincing.”
“Why ask whether she was still afraid?”
Adrian looked toward the jury.
“I was performing.”
The prosecutor displayed a private message sent to Natalia before he entered:
Once her pulse stops, begin the offshore transfer.
Adrian claimed the phrase referred to a simulated cardiac alarm.
The next message read:
Tell the hospital not to attempt resuscitation until you arrive as Natalie.
No simulation required delayed resuscitation.
Adrian’s defense presented the isolated IV valve. No chemical could have reached Natalie.
The judge instructed the jury that factual impossibility did not automatically erase attempt if Adrian believed completion possible and took a substantial step.
The jury separated the charges carefully.
Guilty of attempted murder.
Guilty of conspiracy to commit identity theft.
Guilty of corporate fraud.
Guilty of stealing from Archer Dynamics.
Guilty of obstruction and unlawful surveillance.
Guilty of reckless endangerment concerning the scaffold after receiving warnings and leaving Natalie on the platform.
Not guilty of causing the final structural trigger. Thomas had changed the timing.
Not guilty of conspiring with Evelyn on every board offense. Their interests overlapped, but evidence showed Evelyn planned to frame him.
The distinctions strengthened the central verdict.
At sentencing, Celeste described the affair without claiming victimhood erased her participation.
“He told me Natalie was cold, controlling and incapable of love. I wanted to believe him because believing made my investigation easier and my revenge feel cleaner.”
Natalia spoke next.
“He promised I would inherit a life designed for me. I knew the life belonged to another woman. I told myself she had already received everything.”
Natalie did not testify in person. Her written statement said:
“My husband’s confession filled a hospital because people with power believed spectacle produced undeniable truth. The essential evidence is quieter. He obtained poison, carried it to my bed and chose my death as the solution to a problem he helped create.”
Adrian received a sentence that would keep him imprisoned for decades.
His cooperation identifying offshore accounts reduced several financial penalties. The attempted murder, identity plan and abuse of marriage increased the term.
He lost all Archer and Ward claims.
Restitution reached Natalie, the company, injured scaffold workers and patients whose data funded the consent engine.
Adrian requested that one letter be preserved for Natalie after appeals.
She declined.
He requested the same letter be delivered to Natalia.
She accepted a summary.
It said he had loved both women differently and destroyed both relationships through fear.
Natalia returned it unopened.
“Love is not the category under review,” she said.
Years later, Adrian died in prison medical custody after a cardiac illness.
No hidden syringe was involved.
His death was verified openly.
Natalie received notice and felt grief she did not convert into regret about the divorce.
The diamond ring remained evidence through the final appeal.
Its recordings showed Adrian had planned to propose publicly to Celeste while privately promising Natalia control.
The court asked all three women what should happen afterward.
Natalie requested destruction of the identity key.
Celeste requested preservation of the contractor evidence.
Natalia requested recognition of the code she had written.
The functions were separated.
The recordings entered restricted archives.
Natalia’s technical authorship was documented.
The identity key was destroyed.
The gold and stone were sold.
Proceeds funded patient-data restitution.
