Evan was arrested eleven days after the break-in.
Felony burglary-related charges.
Attempted theft of records.
Later evidence-tampering and conspiracy allegations tied to his agreement with Nathan.
The exact charging package changed.
He did not receive fifty years.
He did not become a mysterious assassin.
He had a business.
A teenage son.
A prior divorce.
No violent felony history.
He had made a series of increasingly bad choices because an executive client paid him well and framed the job as protecting corporate property.
His attorney argued Evan believed he had authority.
