I did not want my photograph online.
It happened anyway.
Someone leaked the domestic-battery police report to a local business reporter after Bennett Meridian disclosed that Daniel had been placed on administrative leave.
The article described:
A domestic incident.
A corporate audit.
Questionable vendor payments.
Daniel’s attorney accused unnamed people of coordinating a reputational attack.
Then my bruised-eye photograph appeared on social media.
Not the official evidence photo.
A photograph my friend Nina took at her apartment the morning after Daniel’s arrest.
She sent it to her sister.
Her sister sent it to someone else.
Eventually public.
I was furious.
At Nina.
At strangers.
At myself.
For two days the internet turned my face into an argument.
