Chapter 11 - Sabine’s reason for speaking Sabine was not a heroic bridesmaid who had spent months secretly investigating Cordelia.

She almost stayed quiet.

That mattered.

She had challenged the seating change once.

Then Cordelia said:

“This is Hartwell family business.”

Sabine backed off.

She later admitted:

“I told myself Helena would notice if it mattered.”

Helena was getting married.

She did not notice.

Then Sabine saw Cordelia pushing Bram’s chair.

The kick happened.

People shouted.

And Sabine realized silence had turned her into another adult watching.

So she grabbed the seating chart.

“I didn’t want her to say it was a misunderstanding.”

That was why.

Not courage without fear.

Courage after a delay.

Still useful.
