Chapter 14 - The accessibility lie Cordelia kept using the word accessibility.

So Helena asked the venue for records.

The venue manager, Priya Shah, was meticulous.

Her emails showed the opposite of Cordelia’s story.

Six weeks before the wedding, Helena wrote:

My nephew uses a wheelchair. Please make sure family table and photo area have firm access.

Priya replied with:

Access matting.

Table clearance.

Accessible restroom route.

Backup indoor photo option if grass became wet.

A temporary ramp near the terrace.

The venue had done the work.

Then, the morning of the wedding, Cordelia emailed:

We may move one wheelchair guest to the side table to reduce congestion around the formal family area.

Priya responded:

Please note the family table location was specifically selected to accommodate that guest. No move is required for accessibility.

Cordelia wrote back:

Understood. This is a family preference.

Family preference.

Not safety.

Not access.

Choice.
