Billionaire Fakes a Europe Trip Before Hidden Cameras Reveal Who Has Been Terrorizing His Daughters.
Emiliano Duarte stood in the mansion’s surveillance control room with one hand covering his mouth.
On the largest monitor, his six-year-old daughter clutched a worn stuffed rabbit against her chest and whispered the sentence that broke him.
“Please don’t leave us alone with Patricia.”
The room glowed blue from the wall of surveillance screens. Cables trailed beneath the console. Security Chief David Cole stood behind Emiliano, silent, watching the same live feed with controlled concern.
Emiliano had told the entire house he was flying to Europe.
He had not left Greenwich.
He had driven around the estate, entered through the private security wing, and waited to see what happened when Patricia Lane believed no one important was watching.
Now he knew.
On the screen, Rosa Davis sat beside Martina on the white bed, gently holding the child’s trembling hands. Daniela, nine years old, sat close to her little sister in pale-blue pajamas, trying to look braver than she felt.
Rosa moved between the girls and the bedroom door.
“I won’t let her frighten you again.”
Emiliano lowered his hand from his mouth.
Again.
The word struck him harder than the tears in Martina’s eyes.
Then the bedroom door opened.
Patricia entered in a cream blouse and black trousers, polished and cold. She snatched Martina’s stuffed rabbit and tossed it onto the bed without touching the child.
“Rosa, step away from those girls.”
Rosa stood.
She did not raise her voice.
She did not move aside.
Daniela pressed herself against Rosa’s side, keeping Martina behind her.
Then she looked toward the hidden camera without knowing her father was watching.
“Dad never believes us.”
Emiliano recoiled as if she had slapped him.
His grief hardened into controlled fury.
He placed both hands on the surveillance console.
“Seal every exit. Preserve every recording.”
David reached for his radio.
