“From whom?”

“Did you know Daniel survived the crash?”
“Yes.”
The room erupted.
Vanessa stepped forward.
“You knew my brother was alive?”
“For six days.”
“You let his wife believe he was dead.”

“Did you speak to him?”
“Twice.”
“Did he accuse me of causing the crash?”
“No.”

“Why did he disappear tonight?” Elena asked.

“Who moved him?”
Brooks looked toward Marcus.

“I did.”

The disguised nurse was Marcus.

“Where did you take him?”

“And after that?”
“Daniel changed the route.”
Marcus claimed Daniel received a message saying Elena’s treatment team had been compromised. He ordered transport to the abandoned hospital.
When Marcus reached the tunnel, Malcolm’s men attacked the convoy.
