The room cheered.
Sienna watched the video once.
Only once.
Then she sent it to Nora.
At the full custody hearing weeks later, the prosecutor did not need dramatic language.
The timeline did the work.
Sienna called at 6:14.
Cameron ignored.
Sienna texted emergency symptoms at 6:19.
Cameron read it at 6:21.
Cameron toasted Patricia at 7:58.
Sienna entered surgery at 8:02.
Clara delivered at 8:43.
Cameron left the party after midnight.
Cameron’s attorney tried to argue he misunderstood the severity.
Nora played the voicemail.

The judge asked Cameron one question.
“Mr. Hayes, what would have made it a thing?”
Cameron had no answer.
Patricia cried in the hallway afterward.
Not for Sienna.

Sienna walked past her slowly, one hand on her healing abdomen, Clara’s carrier held by Nora beside her.
Patricia whispered, “You’ve turned my son against me.”
Sienna stopped.
“No.”
“I finally stopped letting you turn him against me.”
Patricia’s mouth trembled.
“You’ll need family.”
Sienna looked at Clara.
“I have one.”
The divorce continued.
The custody evaluation continued.
Healing continued.
None of it was easy.
But each day Sienna woke up and chose herself, the hospital room felt farther away.
