He admitted grabbing Lily.
That surprised me.
He did not deny the basic sequence.
Lily was upset.
Refused the chair.
Tried to move past him.
He took her upper arm.
She pulled.
He repositioned her toward the chair.
Her shoulder hit the coat hook.
He immediately called Sarah.
Sarah took Lily to urgent care.
He said the injury was accidental.
That part was plausible.
Then:
“Why didn’t you tell urgent care what happened?”
Grant said:
“I wasn’t there.”
“Did you discuss what Sarah would say?”
“Yes.”
“What?”
“That Lily was running and hit the hook.”
“Did you tell Sarah not to mention grabbing Lily?”
Pause.
“I said details could be misunderstood.”
There it was.
He believed the injury was accidental.
