I sent Daniel one email.
Grace told me not to.
Again.
YOU USED MY HOUSE TO QUALIFY FOR A $2.4 MILLION LOAN. IF YOU TOUCHED MY SIGNATURE, I WILL REPORT IT.
Daniel did not respond.
But within twenty minutes, activity began.
Company files deleted.
Cloud folders moved.
An employee later forwarded emails.
Bank portal access changed.
My threat gave him warning.
Grace was furious.
“You just told him exactly what we’re looking for.”
“I was angry.”
“I know.”
“I wanted him scared.”
“And now evidence preservation is harder.”
My mistake.
Not fatal.
Consequential.
We obtained preservation orders quickly.
Forensic specialists recovered some material.
Not all.
A folder labeled:
EQUALIZATION.
Gone permanently from one server.
Backups incomplete.
