The instructor asked:
“Did Chief Mitchell strike anyone?”
“No.”
“Threaten anyone?”

“Order them to do anything?”
“She told us to evacuate during the alarm.”
“What happened before the alarm?”
Noah repeated it.

He did not make himself heroic.
