She had been caring for a relative’s two children.
Left them asleep alone in an apartment while she went to a bar for approximately forty minutes.
A neighbor heard one crying.
Police became involved.
She pled.
Completed probation.
No later known convictions.
Was she legally barred forever from childcare?
No.
But she repeatedly concealed that history from families who directly asked about prior child-safety incidents.
Our application asked.
She checked:
No.
That was a lie.
