“Nothing.”
William laughed.
Alexander placed a document on the table.

He gave up the inheritance William expected to use as leverage.
“Now you cannot threaten me with the company,” Alexander said.
William looked at the page.
“You would leave yourself with almost nothing.”
“I already said there was nothing left to discuss.”
The sentence returned from the divorce table.
This time, its meaning had changed.
William signed the paternity acknowledgments to prevent the court from publicly exposing the entire fertility archive during litigation.
