Chapter 11 - MY ANGRY MESSAGEI became him for forty-three seconds.

After Eleanor left, Julian texted.
You are weaponizing your grandfather against me.
I answered:
You stole the house, hurt me, and served divorce papers in a hospital. I hope Section Fourteen destroys everything you built.
Send.
Instant regret.
Julian replied:
Thank you.
My lawyer, Camille Ward, called twelve minutes later.
“What did you send?”
“How do you know?”
“His lawyer forwarded it.”
Of course.
Camille said:
“Your trust rights are not a revenge device.”
“I know.”
“Do you?”
“Yes.”
“Then stop writing like you control the trustees.”
She was right.
Julian used the message in divorce court.
His argument:
Nora was attempting to weaponize a grandfather’s trust to destroy his business and coerce property concessions.
The judge did not accept the whole theory.
But my text complicated optics.
I had to own it.
In a later affidavit:
I sent an angry message wishing financial destruction on Julian. I regret the language. I do not control Section Fourteen and have not instructed the trustees to reach any specific result.
May you like
Not flattering.
Accurate.
