She treated it like a promise of permanent residence.
Absurd.
Then another.
After Victoria’s hip surgery:
VICTORIA:
Lake air would heal me.
ME:
Come whenever you want this summer.
Permission to visit.
Not title.
Still, Victoria’s lawyer used those messages to argue she had reasonably believed long-term occupancy had family approval.
That mattered to whether she knowingly participated in an Adverse Claim.
Section Fourteen was not supposed to punish someone who innocently stayed where a beneficiary invited them.
The question became:

When did Victoria know I had revoked permission?
The answer was ugly.
