Dana did not force baths.
She played.

Sponge bath if needed.
Short shower.
Bath only when she chose.
Some people worried accommodation would “reinforce fear.”
Dana explained:
“Safety first. Flexibility grows after control returns.”
Months later Sophie voluntarily sat in a shallow bath.
Thirty seconds.
Then got out.
I almost cried.
Dana said:
“Don’t make it huge.”
So I didn’t.
“Want pajamas?”
“Yes.”
That was it.
Two weeks later she stayed three minutes.
