Sofia was fifteen.
I did not want her destroyed for following her grandfather’s cruel idea.
I also did not want:
She’s a child
to erase agency.
Lucía grounded her.
Phone restrictions.
No social-media posting for a period.
Therapy.
The two hundred dollars donated—with Noah’s agreement—to a local children’s science program.
I did not demand that.
Sofia suggested it.
Noah said:
“Can it be space?”
Yes.
It went to a program that supplied telescope nights for public-school students.
Good.
She also apologized to the guests?
No.
No public humiliation.
She wrote a short message to parents whose younger children had been frightened:
I did a stupid prank at Noah’s party that was planned to embarrass him. I’m sorry your kids saw it.
Lucía approved.
Enough.
No school discipline because it happened privately outside school.
No police.
No juvenile court.
