Under the original plan, the employee trust and independent trustee could balance him.
Under the disputed codicil, if I failed the biological-descendant condition and Richard obtained Dad’s shares, he would control close to 60 percent of the voting family interests once various agreements were considered.
Not absolute company dictatorship.
Enough to appoint directors with allied holders.
Enough to shape succession.
Enough to install himself as chairman.
Dad had prevented that for years.
Richard told himself:
