Same first page.
Same signature page.
Different middle page.
Dad had agreed to a limited amendment:
Distributions of a specified block of voting shares would be held temporarily until the Hartwell DNA test returned.
If the test confirmed biological paternity, the original estate plan controlled.
If it excluded paternity, trustees would seek judicial guidance on the old family-voting trust language.
That was all.
No automatic inheritance to Richard.
No physical-incapacity clause.
No proxy transfer.
Dad signed that version at home.
Two witnesses signed.
The document was supposed to be scanned and delivered to Martin.
Why wasn’t it?
Howard’s assistant emailed a PDF to Richard, who had been coordinating family logistics, asking him to deliver the original to Martin because Howard left town for trial.
Bad decision.
Richard took custody.
Martin never received it before Dad died.
The document Richard later produced contained the genuine signature page attached to a replacement page two.
