Chapter 23 - Marian’s grave

I visited Marian’s grave alone.
No Victoria.
No Ethan.
Grass needed trimming.
I sat.
Then said aloud:
“You should have called.”
Wind.
Nothing.
“I would have still loved you.”
That sentence made me cry.
Would I?
I do not know.
But I wanted her to have trusted the possibility.
I continued:
“You made me safe after helping make me missing.”
There.
The contradiction.
“I hate what you did.”
Then:
“I miss you.”
Both.
I left flowers.
May you like
Not absolution.
Flowers.
