I had watched it hundreds of times the first year.
Then twenty.
Then none.
Ben said:
“Delete?”
I hesitated.
Not because I needed proof.
Because deleting felt like saying it did not matter.
Then I understood that was nonsense.
Evidence existed.
My scar existed.
Lily’s medical records existed.
Diane’s conviction existed.
Olivia’s admission existed.
The truth was not living inside our television.
I clicked delete.
The system asked:
Are you sure?
“Yes.”

The file disappeared from our household server.
The house remained.
