Chapter 11 - The school nurse

Leo had missed school four days after the leg injury.
Rachel reported:
Stomach virus.
On the fifth day, she sent him back.
The school nurse noticed his limp.
Leo said he fell.
The nurse called Rachel.
Recommended medical evaluation if pain persisted.
Rachel said Leo had already been checked through a virtual medical consultation.
Police requested records.
No consultation existed.
Rachel later claimed she had spoken informally with a nurse friend.
That nurse denied discussing Leo’s leg.
Now the medical neglect looked less like uncertainty.
Rachel had received an outside prompt to seek care.
She created a story indicating she had.
She had not.
