Chapter 12 - The family plan
Victoria did not intend to steal my baby.
No fake adoption papers.
No forged custody order.
No hidden nursery where she planned to disappear with Elise.
The truth was more familiar.
She believed money and experience gave her decision-making authority.
The postpartum plan assumed:
Elise would live at Victoria’s mansion six weeks.
The night nurse would report feeding and sleep data to Victoria.
My sister Rachel would visit only during scheduled windows because Victoria considered her “disruptive.”
Arthur would return to work after four days.
I would remain mostly upstairs resting.
Visitors would not enter without Victoria’s approval.
When I found the plan two days before the incident, I laughed.
Then told Arthur:
“This is not happening.”
He said:
“She’s overplanning.”
“Then tell her.”
May you like
“I will.”
He did not.
