The most damaging evidence against Arthur came from his own phone.
Recovered voluntarily through counsel after a warrant dispute.
The morning of the incident:
Victoria:
She is leaving again.
Arthur:
Don’t engage.
Victoria:
She needs to understand there are consequences for threatening this family every time she gets upset.
Arthur:
Just get her to stay until I get home.
Later:
Victoria:
She will not listen unless the discussion stops being optional.
Arthur:
Twenty minutes. No drama. She needs to cool down.
Victoria:
Agreed.
Arthur argued he meant:
Take a break from arguing.
Not lock her inside anything.
Possible.
Then another message at 4:06:
Victoria:
Steam room.
Arthur:
Fine. I’m done arguing.
Four minutes later, he stood beside the locked door.

That did not prove conspiracy beyond every doubt by itself.
It destroyed the claim that the steam-room idea surprised him completely.
