Investigators tested the steam room.
Not by recreating my exact exposure with a pregnant volunteer, obviously.
They examined:
Thermostat settings.
System logs.
Maintenance data.
Outdoor temperature.
Ventilation.
The heater had been operating at a low-to-moderate setting for approximately forty minutes before the door was locked.
The room was hot enough to cause rapid discomfort.
Not at commercial maximum.
The broken window reduced temperature quickly.
My total locked exposure was estimated at under ten minutes before first responders opened the door.
That timeline helped my medical outcome.
It also mattered legally.
Prosecutors did not claim Victoria had placed me in an unsurvivable chamber.
They argued she knowingly confined a heavily pregnant woman in a heated room during a confrontation, ignored pleas for release, and conditioned freedom on submission.
