Chapter 22 - I SELL THE BATHROOMTechnically, I sold the apartment.

But emotionally:
I sold the bathroom.
The walnut door remained broken until the property was repaired for sale.
The contractor asked:
“Replace exact?”
“No.”
“Insurance will cover matching finish.”
“No walnut.”
He looked confused.
“White oak?”
“Anything else.”
I knew that was irrational.
Fine.
The new bathroom door was pale oak.
The apartment sold three months later.
Good price.
Not record-breaking.
I moved downtown to a smaller two-bedroom condo.
No marble bathroom.
No private elevator.
Excellent windows.
I chose every lock.
Then hired a security consultant Vincent had not recommended.
