I testified about service carefully.

No secret-killer nonsense.
I had served in the 75th Ranger Regiment in an intelligence/operations capacity earlier in my career.

Retired from active duty, later reserve affiliation.
No psychiatric discharge.
No history of domestic violence.
Then parenting.

Could it intimidate Noah?
“Yes.”

“Yes.”
Did I sometimes over-structure?
“Yes.”
Did that justify Grant’s test?
“No.”
Then neighborhood.
“Could you have seriously injured Logan?”
“Yes.”
Grant’s lawyer paused.
“Yet you chose to engage.”
“I chose to stop two attacks.”
“Why not flee?”
“Because Noah was directly behind me during the first moments, and Logan was advancing.”
Video supported.
“After second release?”
“I disengaged.”
Then:
“You stepped on his glove.”
“Yes.”
“Provocative?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“I was angry.”
There.
No saint.
Then:
“Did you enjoy proving you could control him?”
I thought.
“I felt relief that I could stop him without hurting him.”
Not same.
Then relocation.
Would I support Grant having meaningful relationship?
“Yes.”
Would I allow Texas visits eventually?
“Yes, if professionally recommended and court-approved.”
Did I want sole legal control permanently?
“No.”
