Chapter 12 - Camilla’s version

Camilla denied abusing Pippa.
Her position was consistent by then.
The kennel was a “reset space.”
Short-term.
Safe weather only.
Never intended as humiliation.
Never without supervision nearby.
Overnight periods were, she claimed, shorter than Pippa remembered.
The bucket?
She said it was an emergency camping toilet because Pippa sometimes refused to come inside after consequences began.

Camilla also said Pippa had escalating behavior problems.
Lying about food.
Taking cosmetics.
Breaking a bracelet.
Leaving her room at night.
Refusing school mornings.
Some incidents were real.
Pippa had broken one of Camilla’s bracelets.
Accidentally, according to Pippa.
Camilla believed deliberately.
Pippa had hidden cookies.
She had lied about brushing her teeth.
She had taken lipstick.
