Ridgeway itself had done nothing wrong.
But its medical director, Dr. Thomas Keene, had a prior relationship with Caleb.

Local business club.
Keene had evaluated Caleb’s mother after hip surgery.
Caleb called him directly.
“Can you take Rebecca somewhere quiet?”
Keene said:
“Send records.”
Caleb sent selective records.
Postoperative confusion.
Anxiety.
History of sleep medication.
Not:
Domestic violence concern.
Not:
Disputed power of attorney.
Not:
Detective inquiry.
Ridgeway provisionally accepted.
Why did Caleb want “somewhere quiet”?
Mara found a text to his brother:
Once she’s out of St. Anne’s, this dies down.
Brother:
What dies down?
Caleb:
Everyone asking questions.

That text did not prove the fall was intentional.
It proved questions were his problem.
