Caleb chose to testify.
Risky.
He said he loved me.
I believed that in some damaged way.
He admitted forging the guarantee electronically.
Called it “unauthorized execution on a previously agreed obligation.”
Lawyers can make theft wear a tie.
He admitted giving me clonazepam.
Claimed I knew.
Admitted grabbing me.
“I was preventing her from leaving while impaired.”
Admitted making physical contact near the stairs.
“Did you push her?”
“I moved her away from me.”
The prosecutor played:
I barely pushed you—
Caleb closed his eyes.
“I used the wrong word.”
Then hospital video.
Security camera outside my room had captured him entering after staff told him visitation was suspended.
Internal room camera did not exist.
But nurses testified.
Split lip documented.
