Chapter 12 - Nora’s problem
Nora nearly lost her job.
Not because the hotel wanted to punish her for speaking.
Because management discovered she had allowed Vanessa into a restricted service area without reporting it immediately.
Nora blamed herself.
“I should’ve taken the glass.”

“Yes.”
She looked surprised.
Most people expected me to comfort her.

“And then you ran out and stopped me from drinking it.”
She cried.
