Vanessa was arrested after the lab confirmation, witness statements, hotel footage, prescription evidence, and digital records reached the prosecutor’s threshold.
No ballroom handcuffs.
No instant sirens during the gala.
Weeks later.
Her charges included conduct related to secretly administering a controlled prescription medication, child-related intimidation allegations where supported, and attempted fraudulent or coercive financial conduct that was still being investigated.
Some financial counts were never filed.
Because preparing documents is not the same as successfully committing financial theft.
The strongest case was the drink.
Vanessa initially pleaded not guilty.
