The kitchen footage lacked audio and therefore could not prove verbal threats.

That phrase made me furious because it was not entirely false.

They also argued Maya continued washing voluntarily because she wished to avoid embarrassment in front of guests.
Maya said:
“I was avoiding a scene because Evelyn kept telling me Alex would blame me if I ruined the luncheon.”
Mom denied saying that.
No audio.
Witnesses heard fragments.
We would never prove every sentence.
