Chapter 19 - Dr. Reeves Chooses HimselfDr. Allan Reeves surrendered after police searched the Westerville house.

He arrived with two attorneys and a prepared statement denying knowledge of violence.

Detective Morales placed the lock photographs in front of him.

Reeves looked away.

“You wrote the referral,” she said.

“I was told Sarah required privacy.”

“You fabricated four appointments.”

“David provided symptoms.”

“You diagnosed a woman you never examined.”

“I made a professional mistake.”

“You accepted two hundred thousand dollars.”

Reeves’s face tightened.

The payment had moved through one of David’s shell companies.

He insisted it was consulting income.

Morales played audio recovered from David’s laptop.

David’s voice asked how long medication could make someone appear cognitively impaired.

Reeves answered.

He recommended dosages.

He discussed documentation.

He explained how private treatment could delay outside review.

The doctor’s attorneys asked for a break.

Reeves refused.

He had heard Margaret was cooperating.

He knew David would blame him.

So he chose himself.

He described every meeting.

David wanted Sarah declared incapable.

Margaret agreed to administer low doses at home.

Reeves would create medical history and arrange private confinement.

If Sarah resisted treatment, stronger medication would be used.

“What about Emma?” Morales asked.

Reeves swallowed.

“David said the child would help control her.”

At the hospital, Sarah listened to a summary of his confession.

The room became very quiet.

Emma was at preschool under security protection for the first time since the attack.

Sarah stared at the empty chair where her daughter usually sat.

David had planned to use Emma’s visits as rewards.

Cooperate, and see your child.

Resist, and remain alone.

The cruelty was so calculated that Sarah stopped feeling surprised.

She felt clear.

The man she married had not become dangerous overnight.

He had spent years learning which parts of her life could be turned into restraints.

Money.

Marriage.

Motherhood.

Trust.

Now each restraint had become evidence.

👉 Dr. Reeves completed the conspiracy map, but David still controlled millions through an account no investigator had found.
