“And the room with the lock?”

“The false doctor?”

Sarah looked toward Emma’s drawings on the refrigerator.

Hide the confinement plan.
Avoid explaining why Emma’s bedroom was prepared inside a house where Sarah would be locked away.
Sarah shook her head.

“So did staying quiet.”

“I will.”

“They already did.”
Sarah placed both hands on the island.
